Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Core i5 11th Gen Laptop in Pakistan

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 has been refreshed for its second generation, now powered by Intel’s 11th Generation Tiger Lake Processor, which offers increased performance and efficiency.

Design

The chassis is a combination of multiple materials, for the top panel we have PPS/50% GF, whereas the bottom is PC-ABS / Talc15 + Magnesium Alloy (Keyboard Cover), PA / 50% GF. The addition of alloy in the cast makes the whole construction rigid.

11th Generation Laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 is offered with the Intel Core i5 1135G7, an 11th Generation Tiger Lake Unit. That is packed with a total core count of 4 and a thread count of 8, which enables the device in terms of single-core, multicore, and multithreaded performance, having an L3 Intel Smart Cache of 8 MB.

The processor is optimized for a Configurable TDP-up Base Frequency of 2.4 GHz, overclockable to a maximum frequency of 4.2 GHz, with a variable power consumption of 12 to 28 watts.

The unit supports DDR4 memory that is clicked at 3200 MT/s and is also integrated with Intel Iris Xe Graphics so that it handles graphically associated operations, which is optimized at a Graphics Max Dynamic Frequency of 1.30 GHz, that also enables the system to provide display output at a resolution of 4096×2304 at a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

Memory and Storage

The system is integrated with 8GB of onboard soldered DDR4 memory, offered at a frequency of 3200 MT/s. The setup is dual-channel capable, with one memory module soldered to the system board and an empty DDR4 SO-DIMM slot provided, allowing for an update to a maximum of 40GB (8GB soldered + 32GB SO-DIMM).

The operating system is stored on a 512GB 2280 PCIe® Gen 4.0×4 NVMe® Opal 2.0 M.2 Solid State Drive. The accommodating slot can support a maximum of 2TB for 2280 configurations or 256GB for 2242 configurations.

Display

The pixels are brightened over the 14-inch IPS panel, that displays the panted picture at a resolution of Full HD  1920 x 1080. The screen is also made competent enough to reach a brightness of 300 nits so that one can easily deal with difficult lighting conditions. Apart from that, the Anti-glare surface helps in ignoring all kinds of light glares, while offering a 45% coverage of the NTSC space.

Battery

The system is powered by the Integrated battery that packs a capacity of 50 Wh, which can be recharged using the provided 65-Watt USB-C® Slim (3-pin) AC Adapter.

Keyboard and Trackpad

The ThinkPad T14 is fitted with Backlit, English (UK) so that it can be used to type in darker environments, where it is located along the palm rest with a fully clickable buttonless touchpad with multi-gesture support.

Other Specs

Intel’s Wi-Fi 6 AX201, 11ax 2×2 + BT5.1, is liable for receiving and processing WiFi and Bluetooth signals, where the High Definition (HD) Audio produced by the notebook is powered by the Realtek® ALC3287 codec, which delivers throughout the dual Stereo speakers, each capable of a 2-watt output, along with the support for Dolby Audio.

The included webcam can record at a resolution of HD 720p and also has a Privacy Shutter and a 2x Microphone Array. The ports offered are 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Always On), 2x Thunderbolt™ 4s/USB4s that support a signaling rate of 40 Gbps alongside data transfer, Power Delivery 3.0 and DisplayPort™ 1.4a, 1x HDMI® 2.0, 1x microSD card reader, and a  3.5mm/ Headphone/microphone combo jack.
