Lenovo ThinkBook 16 G6 AMD Ryzen 5 Laptop in Pakistan

The facelift of the new Lenovo ThinkBook 16 G6 now offers the latest AMD Zen 3-based 7000 series CPUs, making it significantly more powerful and efficient than its predecessors, providing an overall smoother computing experience.

Design

The chassis of the notebook is mostly Anodized Sandblasted aluminum for the top panel, the PC-ABS plastic panel creates a combination that makes the product light and rigid.

AMD Ryzen 5 Laptop

The Lenovo ThinkBook 16 G6 is optimized with the AMD Ryzen 5 7530U Hexa Core Processor, which in terms of performance sits right at the center point of the 7000 series lineup from AMD based on the Zen 3 architecture which allows the platform to ace through multi-core and multithreaded operations. It consists of 6 cores and 12 threads, with an L1, L2, and L3 cache of 348 KB, 3 MB, and 16MB respectively.

The fabrication process followed is the TSMC’s 7nm FinFET technology that optimizes the processor at a configurable TDP of 15 watts. The cores are clocked at a base clock of 2 GHz, which can be overclocked to a max clock frequency of 4.5 GHz.

It does come with support for DDR4 memory that is clocked at a transfer rate of 3200 MT/s. Where the graphics are ensured by the AMD Radeon™ Graphics which comes with 7 cores that are clocked at a frequency of 2000 MHz, with a memory of 2 GB, and also supported with Direct X12, OpenGL 4.6, and OpenCL 4.6. Which also allows the notebook to support a 4k external monitor for display output.

Memory and Storage

The setup for the ThinkBook G6 is dual-channel capable, allowing it to accommodate Up to 64 GB, currently, it is fitted with a 16 GB SO-DIMM DDR4 kit, that is clocked at a rate of  3200 MT/s.

Alongside that, it can also have up to two M.2 Solid State Drives, where the one system is provided with is a 512GB 2242 PCIe® Gen 4.0×4 NVMe® M.2 SSD, which is also upgradeable so that one can expand his/her storage capacity when needed.

Display

The 16-inch IPS panel is responsible for displaying the processed content at a wonderful resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. That helps in providing a better content consumption experience when compared to 1080p, where the screen is capable of achieving a max brightness of 300 nits and is supported with Anti-glare one can focus more on the panel, with a 45% coverage of the NTSC space.

Battery

The Integrated battery that mobile powers the system boasts a capacity of 45Wh and uses the included 65W USB-C (3-pin) AC Adapter to refuel itself when drained.

Keyboard and Trackpad

The full-size Backlit, English (UK) keyboard which spans over the whole palm rest located along with the Buttonless Mylar® surface multi-touch touchpad, supports Precision TouchPad and also multi gestures.

Other Specs

The system’s high-definition (HD) Audio is processed by the Realtek® ALC3287 codec, which outputs through a dual Stereo speaker setup, 2 watts each, which also supports Dolby Audio for a more enhanced audio output.

The included webcam shoots at a resolution of Full HD 1080p with Infrared Hybrid, with a Privacy Shutter, and with 2x Microphone Array. The Wi-Fi® 6, 11ax 2×2 + BT5.3 receives and processes the wireless signals.

The ports provided are 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Always On), 2x USB-C® 3.2 Gen 2s that also support data transfer, Power Delivery 3.0 and DisplayPort™ 1.4, 1x HDMI® 2.1, for a display output of up to 4K/60Hz, 1x 3.5mm Headphone/microphone combo jack, 1x Ethernet (RJ-45), 1x SD card reader.

The included webcam also provides a secured Windows® Hello facial recognition, and through the Touch Style, Integrated into the Power Button.
